His Celebration of Life was hosted at Sahalee Country Club today where family, friends, neighbors, work colleagues, his fraternity brothers and those he mentored through the UW's business school showed up. About around 170 people. Those who couldn't come in person had the option to watch via Zoom.

I love you, Dad. Happy Birthday!

This week is gonna suck because on the 9th is my Dad's Memorial Service, which is on his birthday and I will be busy helping out the day before and the day of so my anxiety/emotions will be bouncing off the walls a bit and then drain me in the end.

I just watched President Obama's farewell address on YouTube.

Lots of "feels" but more anxiety and cynicism come Jan. 20th.

Again, something is wrong with how I do my Turbo Tax forms, even with Dad's help or input. This time my files were ready and I was able to print the ready forms, but now TT says I owe $2400 in federal taxes. How can that be?? I have no income because I don't have a job!! Dad said he'll go to the local IRS office next week and see if he can fix it. ( Read more... )

Mom just emailed me to inform me that Barb S. died just after the 4th. She says she will try to attend the services. I'm glad I wrote Barb that note before her death. I wanted her to know how much she meant to me since her daughter and I became friends.

I think I'll go cry now.
