Watched 2017's IT last night
Overall I liked it. I watched a YT video and it was explained why the filmmakers changed or removed alot of the original content from the book to fit in a 2 hour movie. I thought the changes from the book made the movie really work.
Highlights:
1. The cast. The best group of child actors I have ever watched in a movie.
2. Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. The way he moved and talked was creepy as fuck. I will always enjoy Tim Curry's performance in the mini series but Bill's portrayal impressed me.
Only nitpick: The annoying music during the suspense/upcoming jumpscares that was constant in alot of scenes. I think the music cue could have been toned down or removed in many scenes that I knew were going to be jumpscares. It just got annoying.
In a couple of hours I'm off to see First Man with my parents at the local IMAX theater.
