Xmas nostalgia
I did watch A Christmas Story a long time ago, on a Beta-max. I didn't really get any favorite memories out of it except feeling a lot of cringey feelings for the long-suffering Ralphie. The Xmas-oriented movie I remember the most was The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which was based on the book(which I also read) about social outcasts learning to be better people and the community that is already prejudiced against them learn to accept them while being part of the church's Nativity play.
Both of these movies have a charming nostalgia, where kids act like kids even across generations.
