Getting jazzed

Apr 08, 2003 00:06

I am getting seriously jazzed for Breitenbush. It is going to SO rock! Bonding with my favorite chickies while dancing, tubbing, dancing, tubbing some more. Debuting two new performance pieces at the salon, including some new costume stuff, and soaking up all the beauty that Breitenbush has to offer. Can't wait to meet my sistah's from the East Coast, as well as see Carrie again from Ice Cube. I wonder what other familiar faces will show up. *sigh* Will be SO WONDERFUL! It can't get here soon enough.
Tomorrow I start my intermediate certification training with Paulette. I can begin classes in a month or two. That is just in time. My gals are ready to start getting some new moves under their belt, and start exploring more advanced concepts. I wanted to start right away, but with newer gals starting to move up into Beg II, it wouldn't have been fair to them. It would have been rushing. Now I will finally have a tiered system in place that will help students along at the pace that is good for them. I am hesitant to enter into the realm of "teacher permission" to join classes, but hopefully Missy P will have some advice in that area.
Tomorrow is four classes in a row at Caravan Studio, then out to late dinner with Pam (of Caravan Daughters and editor of Caravan Trails--friend by e-mail and casual meetings) and Paulette. Next day is private with Paulette (and maybe Michelle--whee, even more fun!!), then two evening classes. Then I get to hang out with my sister after class! I miss her! She almost moved to Seattle, which would have been so great, but I know she wouldn't have been happy here...she is a Portland gal at heart, maybe the Bay Area a bit, too, but not Seattle...
But I seriously digress.
Registration for TQNW is begun, and I am signing up for about $230 worth of workshops! There are just too many awesome classes to pass up. And this year I am not missing anything! I am going down Wednesday night and attending everthing I can! Last year I dinked around a fair bit. Don't want to do that this time!
I need help with manning my vending booth (assuming I get one this year!!) for two hours on Saturday and two hours on Sunday. I hate the idea of missing most of the showcase on Sunday in order to man my booth, but hopefully I can get someone in there who can help out, so we can take turns running down to catch some acts! *fingers crossed*
I am happy spring is coming. I am happy hubby is working on my web page design for me. I am happy that my puppies are healthy and frolicking next to me as we speak. I am bummed my shoulder is still pretty bad, but happy it is getting better slowly. I am happy that I get to dance so much the next two days and LEARN AS MUCH AS I CAN ABSORB, and I am happy I get to see my sister. I am happy I got to chat out some thoughts with Rachel today. I am happy that my troupe is getting more gigs and is advancing so quickly and with such positive energy and enthusiasm. I am happy that PMS only lasts a few days. *grin*
Night!
