Downstairs...and checking on Patsy...
Ryan had been standing leaning against one of the walls, deep in thought after the ceremony. Salene had left to go to Market with Patsy, Mouse, and Baby B. He had been going to speak to Cloe and Ved but they had both left the room.
He was smiling a little to himself as he looked at the new Mallrat symbol on his hand. Not exactly like old times with all the new people here, but he had to stop living in the past. That's how he had thought of everyone all this time...as they had been. Not how they were now. He wanted to go talk to Lex, but he was speaking quietly with Siva. He had to admit they made a good couple.
How long was he really going to stay? He asked himself. A few days? A few weeks? He wanted to get to know his family again. He had missed them. He'd have to send word to Kerry sometime soon. Would the kids want to come to the Mall? He wasn't sure. They could take a vote. And what would the Mallrats think of them? He chuckled, wondering what they would think of the Mallrats!
Then Patsy came running back into the Mall carrying Baby B. He could see she was crying. What had happened? He stood up straight, alert, and followed her. Glancing back he saw Salene and Mouse enter the Mall. They were both okay.
