May and Dax's Room: May (ATTN: Dax)

Aug 26, 2004 12:20

May slowly opened her eyes, wincing at the daylight for a moment before promptly re-closing them. She pulled the blanket a little tighter around herself, her head pounding, and swore under her breath. She did not remember getting into bed. She did not remember much of anything of the night before, actually, except for pieces of the hen party ( Read more... )

Dax hadn't slept well at all last night, after hearing from Patsy that there was an intruder in the Mall, someone "back from the dead", he'd gone in search of Salene, trying to figure out what was going on exactly. She'd told him to forget it, this was an old friend of theirs and not to worry, but the smell of alcohol on her breath and the way she stumbled off to bed had worried him. He'd lingered, outside of Gel's room, just for a little while, frowning, unsure, but when people had started to go into their rooms for the night, he'd given up. Salene was in charge here, after all, it just didn't sit right with him, and he did not understand ( ... )

She forced her eyes to narrow in distress as he spoke, but this was hard considering how cute he looked all sleepy-eyed. Shaking her head as if to snap herself out of the attempted nice thoughts, she focused again on the fact that for some reason she had ended up in bed with Dax. Last night was a slight blur towards the end, but she clearly remembered going to bed alone. She wrapped the blanket tighter around herself before she spoke ( ... )

Dax squeezed his eyes together, flopping onto his back and pressing his hands to his eyes, sighing inwardly, it was too early in the morning to deal with this, but he had made his bed, so to speak, and he would have to lie in it. He looked to her as she moved out of the bed, standing there looking so irritated first thing in the morning, and he slowly sat up and moved out of the bed. "It's my room too, May, or had you forgotten that? It's not as if there is somewhere else for me to sleep," he spoke quietly, and he knew he was full of it. He could have probably gone to the hospital and taken up one of their empty beds, or he could have found a couch somewhere, but the fact of the matter was, he hadn't wanted to.

"I'm sorry, you don't have to be so cross with me, it's not as if I put the moves on you," he padded over to the chair, picking up his pants and slipping them on. He moved to the dresser and pulled open a drawer, taking his clean shirt out and slipping into it, tucking it into his pants. Dax turned back to face her, an ( ... )

"It's my room too, May, or had you forgotten that? It's not as if there is somewhere else for me to sleep," She knew he was lying. There was plenty of places that he could have chosen to sleep in but instead he chose to take his chances with her. Deep down she respected the fact that he wasn’t afraid of her and that was what she needed in a guy. Then again, she couldn’t just forgive him for what he said. He didn’t trust her and that cut deeper than anything else someone could do. Trust was the foundation of every relationship, romantic or not, and he proved to her that even if he did love her like he said, he didn’t trust her ( ... )

"Havent..." Dax looked at her with annoyance, "May, you've been sneaking in and out of this Mall all week, and whenever I'd ask you about it you'd act as if I was bad, or change the subject, and then yesterday you came home with Zapper blue in your pocket, and I know you had a reason for it, but you always have excuses," he told her, frowning a bit. He didn't mean to make it worse, but that was just not true. She started to cry, however, and then spoke again, and he couldn't keep up the frustrated anger he seemed to have, it was still a sore spot with him that she had played at all, but he knew he had to let it go. She'd explained it a bit to him, and it wasn't her fault, they'd both kept secrets from each other, he had yet to tell her all about Shae, he'd only told her that he'd been in love once before, that it had ended badly and he hadn't thought he could love again ( ... )

She felt bad about not being able to tell him what she was up to, but it was just safer for everyone involved if she kept her mouth shut. It was already hard enough to survive out there. But she knew that if she didn’t tell him, he would eventually ask her again and it would only cause another fight. Now was most defiantly not the time to discuss the issue any further. Hopefully, in time she could tell him. She would speak to Salene about it at a later date ( ... )

Oh the restraint it took for Dax to not just grab her and toss her onto the bed, the need, the ache, the way being with her after a fight was always more passionate. It wasn't that they had fought a lot, they'd only been together a week, but there was something about their relationship, some underlying fire that was always there. She could ignite a thousand fires within him just by being the bossy little thing she was, and he soon found himself eying her, looking her up and down as he licked his lips. They curled into an amused form, and he had to suck his bottom lip in a bit to restrain himself. He turned, forcing himself to stop staring at her, stop looking, because if he didn't stop soon, he wouldn't be able to control the animal urges that were starting to take over him.

What is wrong with you man, she's going to think you don't really love her. Don't be stupid, and quit being disrespectful! that little voice that was always with him, in the back of his mind, whispering in his ear, it was right. Dax looked into the mirror on the ( ... )

It was so hard to restrain herself from torturing him with just the small things that drove him crazy. She had to admit it, after all the fighting and the mushy crap, she wanted him. Inside, it was almost like some let a fire that burned hotter and hotter the closer she was to him. Maybe she could just give in. He was a boy, and she knew what boys wanted. Her thoughts shifted to Pride for a moment, not in a comparison between the two men, but more in remembrance of just what boys wanted. Dax wasn’t like Pride at all, he meant it when he said it. A sick and twisted smile crossed her lips as he pouted, it only made her want to torture him more. She opened her mouth slightly, as if she was in thought, but she already knew what she wanted to do. The bottom lip he stuck out was a perfect target. Reaching up she went to kiss him, but instead she bit down softly but demandingly on it, then released it after just a few seconds ( ... )

Dax pulled his lip into his mouth, the lingering sensation of biting his bottom lip tingled and he watched her, what was she trying to do? He narrowed his left eye and lifted his right eyebrow, did she know what she was doing? She was being a tease? Hadn't they talked about that? Shut up you know you love it when she does this to you, he mentally chided himself, and he let that smirk fly across his lips and he looked her up and down again ( ... )
