Danni's room

Danni entered her room in a hurry, wanting to be away from everyone else, not wanting to speak to anyone or get involved in whatever commotion was now going on. She could hear Ryan shouting, blaming that Jay guy for something or other, but she couldn't care less. Her chest ached with all the what-ifs regarding Moon's snub and her 'dinner date' with Luke.

She slowed down, and paused to rest against the door frame in an attempt to catch her breath. In her state she was slightly hyperventalating, and knew she needed to calm down and think rationally. She closed her eyes, and tried to take deep steady breaths as she processed things in her mind.

Danni now felt that she really had pushed things too far earlier, that Moon's behaviour was her way of telling Danni to back off, that she wasn't interested anymore, that Danni was only going to hurt her and Moon didn't want to know. But what could Danni do to remedy this situation? Everything felt hopeless.

Danni wished that she had plenty of arrows for her crossbow, as right now she felt that maybe a bit of target practice would calm her down. Jack probably hadn't finished yet though, and she didn't want to rush him, especially as he was doing her a favour. Maybe she could check with him at dinner. She could certainly do with some activity to help her take her mind off everything. Plus, she was certain she would be more than a little rusty and would definately need practice.

Going to lie down on her bed, Danni couldn't stop turning her mind over events. Several memories and thoughts returned to her mind, but the most prominent one was Moon's lips against hers, and how right that had felt. Surely Moon had felt how right it had been as well.
