Danni's Room

As Danni entered her room she flopped down on her bed with a big sigh. Earlier she had been overjoyed at the idea that Moon wanted to stay at the Mall, that she wanted to stay because of Danni. But now that the vote was cast it meant several things; firstly, it meant that if they wanted to have a relationship they would have to either keep everything a secret from the whole of the tribe, or come clean about it. Either option presented significant difficulties that Danni didn't even want to think about right now. If Moon hadn't been voted in then they could have gone away together, they could have started somewhere new and been honest about how they feel about each other without having to worry about what people thought, as no one would know them. It wouldn't matter who they were or what they did.

Secondly, there was the issue of Luke. Danni hadn't realised that Luke and Moon were getting on, but they way Luke was acting around Moon showed that he liked her, probably wanted to get to know her better. Danni definately felt threatened by this. She didn't want Luke anywhere near Moon, he was the sort of person she would want to protect Moon from. As much as Danni wanted to believe that Luke had changed, she couldn't. Not yet. The pain was still to fresh for her to forgive and forget so lightly.

Danni sighed again, pondering the complexities her relationship with Moon. She had once believed that sometimes the hardest things we do are the things that are most worth doing. But how could this be true if it caused so much worry and brain pain? Grabbing hold of a pillow, Danni cuddled into it, wanting to feel some sort of comfort, as she tried to let her mind go blank. However, the recurring thought in her brain was the amazing feeling of her lips against Moon;s, and no matter what she tried to think of, that was the one thought her brain always returned to.
