It had been a disappointing day. There had been no sign of Prince's cousin in or around the bath house. They'd checked the roof and rafters as well; it was somewhat easier to search thouroughly when one could fly. Disappointed, he'd parted from Genesis' company, both of them arranging to go back and see if they could find the doppleganger later.
To be honest, Angeal had forgotten about Karasu's promise to have dinner ready by the time he got in. To be fair, he'd not thought it had been anything other than a joke. That was why it had come as a shock when he entered the house and saw the table. Like a romantic date.
Several emotions flittered across his face; irritation, second-hand embarrassment, amusement, flattery - but they eventually all settled onto shock. Rather comfortably, too.
There was no sign of the crow himself, but Angeal was sure he was around. He settled for removing his sword and leaning it against the wall, and then peeling off his gloves. In the growing heat of summer, he really shouldn't wear them anyway.
Now there remained the question of where to sit. Pulling out the chairs didn't seem quite right. He settled for leaning against the wall, waiting for Karasu to show.
