Merry Christmas! I know it's belated, but free time (and free hands!) is such a luxury these days.
I hope all of you had a truly wonderful holiday, full of laughter and love, warm memories and good cheer. My love and wishes to all of you!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year, if a bit hectic and not always as expected. Christmas Eve was spent at my Dad's where, surprisingly, I got to see all my siblings and my nieces. A lovely time, though we left so late our boys were dead asleep when we got home, causing us to forego the family tradition of opening ornaments and PJs on Xmas Eve. John and I were up waaaaay too late wrapping gifts, but it was so worth it in the morning.
Joshua had really gotten into Christmas this year, and his whole face lit up when he saw the pile of gifts. However, he was in no hurry to open them. We had to elicit the help of his (toy) Tools to get him to decide to open them and, thus, like last year, gift opening lasted all day as he opened one, played with it, and then later, with his Tool's help, opened another. (The Tools are his favorite toys these days. He brings them everywhere, even to bed! If only Disney would come out with some Handy Manny toys!)
Zachary was content to just watch and nurse, gifting me occasionally with smiles. As he's the equivalent of 5 weeks old, that's pretty good
John made a delectable Christmas dinner, and we were joined by his brother and his brother's boyfriend... Finally got to meet him! I really liked him, and we all had a great day.
Christmas ended quietly and all too soon, but we did have a wonderful day.
christmas,
