Wanted: boatbuilder knowledgeable about gopher wood
And still it rains. I wondered aloud this afternoon if I should think gathering animals two by two. The smart ass in the next office suggested it might not be a bad idea as rain is forecast for the rest of the week. I asked if he would help build the boat but he assured me he trusted my ability to work with gopher wood.
And he hoped I'd remember how he encouraged me and would maybe find space for him on the ark when it was done.
Well, it hasn't rained the whole time. The sun was out for all of three minutes. ::snort::

While cleaning out my email archive I came across several messages relating to a possible Carver/Eames/Goren triangle. Now, how could I resist trying to drabble that for this particular challenge?

Carver’s eyes gleamed as he laid a gentle hand on her arm. “Later, Detective,” he said, his voice deep and rich.
I want you. Have dinner with me?
“Mr. Carver,” she said, smiling brightly.
You’re out of luck. I don’t do lawyers.
Goren nodded to the ADA. “We appreciate the help, Counselor.”
Enough with the touchy-feely crap. Back off!
Carver smiled and nodded to Goren. “Good day, Detective.”
Are you upset that I’m touching her? Or that I’m not touching you?
“Keep me posted,” said Deakins moving back around his desk.
That’s enough. Take this out of my office - now!
I'm pleased with the response to Hidden thus far. And sad to say, I've got a sequel planned. Hidden should have been Bobby/Alex, but they kinda got upstaged. So the sequel will explore the long-term effects of their little adventure. Lots of angst. Maybe smut.
Well. That's the plan anyway. All stories subject to the whims of muses. And they are such fickle creatures.
