I've been watching a Canadian show called Battle of the Blades, hockey tough guys in figure skating pairs competition. I'm loving it!
One of the competitors is Theo Fleury. There's something about him that reminds me of Callum Keith Rennie... Anyway, Theo has been a joy to watch - he throws himself into each week's challenge - and he actually managed an Axel last week! It wasn't pretty but by damn he landed it!
And he did it to a song he wrote and performed. As the Story Goes is rather catchy and very country, which was the theme of last week's program. The song was put up on iTunes, so I grabbed it. His story is an amazing one. The man has come through so much and he seems to be keeping it together now.

The skaters are playing for their charities. Theo is playing for The Men's Project which is a non-profit charitable men's counselling agency that has been providing services to men and their families since 1997. They provide a variety of services, including a specialized healing program for men who have experienced sexual or physical abuse as children, anger management, emotional intelligence and fathering.
