I'm looking forward to Monday. By then all my fic commitments will be done and I can settle down and do some serious reading...and maybe play with a few of the stories sitting in my WiP folder. Maybe. But most importantly get caught up with my flist. You are still there, right?

In other news...
-- Work - It looks like I will still be drawing a paycheque come September 1. That's a relief. My boss has decided to close down/sell the business because he doesn't want to be involved anymore. Zip has been working to buy the business - or a portion thereof. He informed me yesterday that "the bank is onside, so it'll all be happening pretty fast now." Whatever that means. Details are scarce, but I'll roll with whatever as long as I don't have to job hunt.
-- Mom - She is fickle. For the longest time she obsessively watched "$25000 Pyramid" with Donny Osmond - was crushing on Donny, I think. But she's been cheating on Donny...with Howie Mandel. Yup. The Game Show Network is running "Deal or No Deal" and Mom is all about Howie. Seems she really digs a guy with a shave head... *snicker*
-- Weather - I hate the heat and humidity. Yes, I know it's nothing compared to what some of you are getting, but that doesn't make me hate it any less. We had a series of wicked the-world-is-ending type thunderstorms roll through here over the last few nights. Last night (or early this morning) there was hail ranging from the size of golf balls to a few the size of baseballs over the southern part of the province. Parts of Winnipeg got hit seriously enough that the public insurance company is going nuts trying to process the claims for dinged cars. (here in manitoba, we have only gov run insurance for vehicles, no private insurance).
-- Health - Mostly good. Weather, however, is affecting my joints and sinuses, so that kind of sucks...but it will pass and winter will return once more...

And finally...
-- Writing - So far in 2009, I have completed 15 stories for a total of more than 31,600 words. \o/ *squishes muse*
And now to work on that last rounds_of_kink fic before this round ends. *frets*
