Kee-rist. I wrote a resolutely un-funny post (as Katie) about the stupid brou-ha-ha over Ellen's stolen puppy, and got more comments--and longer comments, full of passion--than anything I've written before. If people would get this upset over George Bush, we'd have his ass in jail by noon tomorrow.
But no. Let's get pissed off over a dog.
Even weirder, I took a picture of the dog, and wrote some schmaltzy text on it (sort of like a LOLCat thing), and... the Washington Post online linked to my damn picture. I dunno how they even FOUND the picture. But... that's kinda cool.
It just sucks that I wasn't being funny... The only point of the post was to say that, sure, there's a war going on, and we're losing our rights to privacy and everything, but all the media care about is Ellen's tears.
