Cheerful rambling...
Ugh! I played too many board games last night & had crazy Settlers of Catan and Risk dreams all night. I didn't win, but came close & was beaten by Skye in each. I still kicked ASS tho for it being my first time for both. Apparantly I like divide & conquer kinda games. I think Settlers is more fun and less cutthroat than Risk though.
We had a nice holiday. Sundays barbecue was spectacular! Over 40 people in our tiny house & tons of food & no drunken disasters. It was a beautiful day! Monday was nice too. Once I got going, I helped clean up the house & we took back the bottles from our last couple of parties & got $16.80(!), with which we bought the makings for super nachos. So we ate tasty nachos, laid about, and played lengthy board games in the back yard. Very nice. :)
Dad has offered to help me with the boat. He knows his brother too well & knows he just wont get back to me. That is a relief! I am so tired of waiting for someone to call who never does! I just wanna get in a good float before the summer is over! So dad has offered up his saw horses and sander to help me out. Fantastic!
Ruby has been sneezing and coughing a little. I'm worried that whatever Stella has (Stella = roomates cat), is actually contagious. Ruby was coughing a little last night, which Stella took as an opportunity to chase and attack her in a 2-floor balls out brawl. I had to break it up and lock poor Rubes in my room. So she's been sleeping in my closet and sneezing and has been getting terrorized daily. Poor thing! *huggles & squeezes her* I don't wanna have to take her back to the freaking vet. I'll be pissed if that happens. I still haven't gotten paid back for taking Stella to the vet..... But Claire said the advance on her paycheck should come really soon, so that will be good...
Tonight is Mom & Dad night! I'm gonna load up the boat, and rent Crank & we will rejoice. XD I miss hanging out there, and I've only skipped one week! So sorry Trivia Night, you'll have to wait till next week. I would do trivia on Tuesdays and go to M & Ds on Wednesdays, but this week VAST is playing on Wednesday!!! YAY WOO VAST!!! Jess is a lucky girl! She gets to go to VAST AND Jon Stewart!! :) I'm totally psyched, but need to plan an outfit and maybe take work off, and brush up on my lyrics. :) *wiggles* So excited!
