An assortment of weird bits
Sunday: Brunch at Genie's with Jess, Matty and Maggie. Long wait for good food. Saved some of Sam's artwork from the dumpster.
Monday: chased a bastard squirrel around and around my car, making me late for work. Booched a chromatography column by adding the sand too early >:O
Tuesday: Fancy shareholder meeting with pastries, during which there was plenty of time to colorfully illustrate the mechanism of Antisense technology in a letter to my parents. Later Ruby chased the SAME squirrel right up to my bedroom window, thankfully just in time for me to slam the screen shut and yell. I wonder what my neighbors think I'm yelling about all the time...
Wednesday: Booched column again, but in the end, all was salvagable. Witnessed a chemical spill. Methyl Ethyl Ketone everywhere... get home to find my bathtub full of brown sludge and hair. Made bacon cheezeburgers. Oh yum. plumber shows up at 9:30pm and removes a neighbors knotted black washcloth from the pipes.
Today: Realized I have a three day weekend approaching. REJOICE! came in late to work (with permission). meticulously cleaned the large scale rotavaps while listening to the insane eyeball playlist until my MP3 player started skipping like a 1987 Discman. flirted mercilessly with the analytical guy. ;) Sat at computer typing, as if I were working hard on something. Avoided more responsibility for I am stiff, tired and spent. I'm starting to notice that Thursdays are the hardest for me to get through. I could really use a hot bath.
Future bits...
Friday: Brandon sleeps over. Hoping he'll show me a good bar in town.
Saturday: Help move B's Nana from one Eugene apartment to another down the hall, in exchange for a delicious meal. Meet with Jess around 5 at my place for more debauchery. Perhaps she'll stay 2 nights?
Sunday: who knows. probably not much. Maybe we'll go fishing?
Monday: see Sunday.
