Some unforeseen complications came up and we had to move the claims date back a bit. Please note, claims will take place at 3pm EST on April 8. This is not a claims post, but the claiming process is detailed below:
How to Claim Art
1. After you have looked through the art, decide on the top 3 art pieces you'd like to claim.
2. Comment to the claims post using the following format in order of preference.
1. # 2. #3. # 3. We will reply with the art claim that is now yours.
Please scan the comments before yours to see if any of the art you want has already been claimed. Claims will be struck out as soon as possible but they may not be marked at the time you make your comment.
Please note:
• Content-wise, if a pairing is explicitly drawn into the artwork, you must incorporate it into your story, and all characters in the artwork must be addressed somehow. We will not hold you to the artist's pairing preferences (as mentioned in the notes under each piece) as strongly if it isn't obvious in the art, but we hope that you will collaborate with your artist to find a middle ground that works well for both of you, just as an artist would if the story had been written first. Also, in the rare case there is a pairing the artist specifically does not want, we will ask you to refrain from writing that pairing in your story.
• Only one claim per comment, the three choices are to make our jobs a little bit easier since we might not be able to cross out selections instantly and there might be some overlap.
• Remember, all authors will get a work of art to write for, but all artwork will need to be claimed at least once before we allow any doubling up of claims.
• First come, first served.
We will reiterate the rules on the active claims post on the 12th, but this is just so you can get familiar with them before claims begin. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
We'll see you on the 12th at 8pm EST!
