Attention Artists: How to submit your art

Mar 30, 2012 18:55

All artworks are due by April 1.

Details:
  • Please note, all artwork must be COMPLETE.
  • Please do NOT put a signature on your work. It will defeat the blind claims we will be using to assign authors to artwork.
  • If you are submitting multiple pieces for a SINGLE story, please combine them into a collage that meets the specifications below.
  • If you are submitting multiple pieces that are NOT related, please follow the specifications below. There is a limit of 3 pieces that can be submitted per artist. Multiple submissions are very welcome.
  • The deadline for your submission is April 1. As long as it's April 1 wherever you are when you send it, you're on time.
  • Absolutely no extensions past April 1. So make plans for it, if by sheer coincidence, the internet and all electronics all over the world decide to implode on March 31st. Please don't wait until the last minute to turn your stuff in or figure out how to get it from you to us.
  • In your email subject line please put: ROUND 3: ARTIST LJ NAME
  • In the body of your email, please include the following:

    Artist Email:
    Trek Series:
    Artist Pairing Preference (if any):
    Artist Genre Preference (if any):
    Characters in artwork:
Number of Distinct Works (1 if they all go together):
  • In regards to pairing preference, we will not hold authors to it unless the artwork is explicitly shippy. We only ask to give the authors an idea of what would work best for each artist.
  • To submit your art, please attach two files (both .jpg format).
    1) a 200px x 150px thumbnail
    2) a 500px maximum width of the whole piece for authors to view your piece in more detail. This is for claims purposes only, when posting, your artwork can be any size you please.
  • Send the above to trekreversebang@gmail.com. Once you turn in your draft, you will get a confirmation email in return. But it won't be immediate. So please don't freak out. Your confirmation will come, I promise! We will also email this information to all artists in case some participants are not watching this comm. Our apologies if it's a repeat for you.
Again, we need to receive it by April 1, but please begin turning stuff in at any time!

And finally, if you need to talk about your progress, just want to share your thoughts, or, of course, have any questions, feel free to comment on this post. We hope you're as excited as we are!
