Reason for Stopping: Spent last night watching the Ronda Rousey upset. These are yesterday's words, but I had to leave before I could get in a proper progress report. The emphasis of this story on social media is something I'm coming to really enjoy. And sneaking up on me last night was a thematic tie to an earlier scene. In this section, two characters lamented the state of Chicago's gang youth and how they manipulate social media, posting videos on YouTube that it's another character's job to flag and take down. There's more to talk about here, but a brunch date calls. This whole "cancel all social obligations to write this novel" effort has become a resounding failure.
