Question came up as to whether I would write full-time or continue with my education all the way through law school. I knew if it were down to a choice, I'd swing for education seven days of the week. Opportunities to write come and go, but I'm prettttttttty sure the way things are slated, these degrees will enable me to do things and earn a living that I couldn't hope for as a writer in and of itself and I'm, at the moment, a bit too materialistic to give that up completely. ::wink::
Then, I remembered reading Randy Pausch's book, and I said to myself, "fuck it, I wanna do both." Why would I rule that out when it is obviously the best option? So we'll see. I wrote on average a 100k word book every year of high school. 2009, I wrote 3 short films, 3 feature-length screenplays, 2 tv pilots and started a novel. In the first 7 months of this year, I've written over 1000 pages of new material. So I've very little doubt as to my capability to write and be a student concurrently. Oh well.
I've plead my case. It's in the Lord's hands now.
