Woke up to a call from an old friend (she has a habit of waking me up when I should be awake anyway).
Enjoyed the wonderful weather with a friend's dad and chatted about an upcoming band gig of his, as well as his cousin's Las Vegas-based band, which sounded pretty good from what I could tell.
Brainstormed some more for the story bible of the tenatively titled Mothers and Sons and read a few scripts from some choice television shows just to acclimate myself to the format. It'll be nice to actually start writing drafts of this thing, 'cause the best way to learn is to do it. Drifting as in writing.
Am getting through George Pelecanos' The Night Gardener, and I really, really like it. I can see bits of The Wire in it as well as traces of Pelecanos where he penned the episodes.
