What a week(end)!
It just dawned on me that I haven't posted in a while, so here's a post.
Oh holy shit I graduated from Florida Tech on Saturday!
Thank you to everyone who came to my graduation. While family couldn't make it, friends were out in force. Thank you to Muraiha, Travis and Janice, Chuck and Trista, and Ray. Thanks to my folks, who hopefully don't actually read this, but I think I ought to mention it anyways. It was a really good ceremony, didn't run too long, had a great speaker (Tim Wakefield, FIT graduate and Boston Red Sox pitcher), and was generally a great day. Went out to lunch afterwards w/ Mom and David, took a nap(extremely rare for me) and went out to dinner with my Dad.
After that, I went to travis' christmas party and had a great time. Its always good to see so many people at once, and it seemed like everyone had a good time. Thank you Travis, excellent party. Went to see Army of Darkness at midnight. The day could not have been better, especially since I got to spend so much of it with Muraiha.
Sunday made me remember why I'm not a huge fan of my job anymore, but whatever...it'll be different soon. I spent today just lazing around, though I did make a profile on Monster.com and update my resume to include a few new things. I haven't decided if this week is going to be productive or not, but I figure that a lot of places won't be looking to hire until after the holidays anyways, so if I don't get everything done, no biggie. Still, I'll probably do some work towards getting a job every day.
I also spent today updating various things like my Facebook and MySpace profiles, catching up on a few movies that I own, but haven't seen yet, stuff like that. My folks bought a bottle of champagne to have with dinner, since its also the first time I've actually been at home at night since I finished classes. They also attacked me with silly string, but that's just cause they're wierd. Wicked wierd, even (I'll explain why a bit further down).
What will tomorrow hold? No idea, but it can wait. I'm going to spend some time with Muraiha when she gets off work, and I'm looking forward to it.
I'll have to post some pictures here soon. Not only of graduation itself, but also of the strange stuff that Mom and David did to my room on friday night while I was out. Streamers on the door, paratrooper toys hanging from the ceiling, a "Congratulations" banner, my high school graduation cap on the gargoyle wall hanging I have, oh and balloons in the bathtub. Like I said, they're wierd, but at least I know they care :)
Man, I keep thinking of stuff. I definitely need to post more frequently or this shit happens. Lazer tag on friday with JTizzle and Travis was awesome, but a cruel reminder that I need to work out more...hell, I think it reminded all of us that we're either out of shape or need to get more exercise.
So to conclude, life is good for the Treemonkey. I hope everyone else is doing okay.
