Filling out the Yuletide application. I never thought I'd actually see the day Roswell became an endangered fandom, but I'm not surprised. Just -- resigned? Oh, my poor dead alien show

OMG SGA and omg that fic with Elizabeth in stasis (Transcendental! Shallot! SO AMAZING!) is one of my favourites ever. well, okay, she's pretty much one of my favourite authors in any fandom ever, so. bias!
the smart!John is.. somewhat a fanon thing, though yeah, it is established in The Brotherhood that he is, in fact, very intelligent. They hint at it in the first episode when he immediately works out the possible combinations of gate addresses based on the symbols dialed or whatever. It's really never a big part of the show, or at least hasn't been so far, so unfortunately you won't get to see him playing prime/not prime any time soon. but hey, fingers crossed :D (oh, yeah, and there's some HILARIOUS FOR THE WIN references to it in McKay and Mrs Miller, but we still don't get to see him be all nerdy math or whatever. woe!)
the other thing that's largely (or actually, this one's ENTIRELY) fanon is the idea of Sheppard's family- military father, mother died when he was young seems to be the most popular. There is absolutely no, none, zip basis for either in the show thus far. At all. but you'll see it a lot in fic.
oh, SGA, I have the hugest crush on you. and, yeah, it's pretty largely due to Rodney- he is so amazing, he makes me giggle and have so much joy and and. I didn't understand the appeal until I started watching but now, MAN. I find him so hot that I (swear to god) didn't even notice Sheppard as hotness until my mom and sister wandered in when I was watching and saw him and went DAMN. And I was like "..huh? oh? oh. huh, yeah, I guess." And then promptly went back to pining for McKay. Intelligence and arrogance for the win!
holy crap I just always have WAY too much to say about this fandom.
