Fun with writing

Ok, technically, I'm still not really writing in terms of increasing the word-count on any of my stories or improving what I've written for them so far.
But I am taking notes from the "Writing Fiction for Dummies" book - and I'm doing exercises that are supposed to improve my stories.

Indeed, it seems I am voluntarily doing more exercising than the book demands. This is something rare for me and a first sign that this is working for me and that I am enjoying this writing course.

The best part is that I can test and use what I'm learning from this book right away with my stories - no matter how messed up they are or how far I got with them. This didn't work so well with other writing courses I tried and in some cases I even had to create completely story-unrelated examples.

So, I feel like my various unfinished stories big and small make some progress, especially now that the chapters are starting to tackle more practical things like story world and characters.
Earlier I simply had to laugh with joy, because it's all starting to make more and more sense now - or rather it seems I'm finally on the right track.
In fact, I think I might share some of my results here within the next few days - even if I'm unsure how much use it is to show the planning stages of a story and some test-drives. But I'd like to proof to myself and those who might be interested that I can produce something of interest.
