The Trip
Surprisingly, it had been Dan's idea for the two brothers turned friends to go away for a while. He had suggested to Nathan for he and Nathan to go, but Nathan took the idea and asked Lucas instead. Lucas agreed, only after Peyton told him he had better go, "or else." He was just finishing throwing his bags into the back of the car when Nathan walked out of the house. "All set?"
"Yeah, I think so." Lucas closed the trunk with a thud! and brushed off his hands.
"Where is this place, anyway?"
"Outer Banks. Kinda cool, huh? Dan was pissed when I told him I asked you to go instead."
Lucas laughed and shook his head. He caught the keys when Nathan threw them to him. "Let's get on the road then, we have a drive."
Both the brothers had said goodbye to the girlfriend and wife before meeting at Lucas's house. They didn't specify when they were going to be back, which made it more fun to plan surprises for the girls. Lucas climbed into the driver's seat and Nathan into the passanger seat.
"I hope you have some good music," Nathan joked when Lucas turned on the car.
