Treadwell's is a traditional kind of place, as most of you know. The very atmosphere is steeped in a love of culture and belief systems, anthropology and history. It is super-cool. The Marseilles tarot images inhabit my interior world, and have done since I saw my first deck at my aunt's studio apartment in New York City when it was about, umm, 1971 or so! It's a theatre of images, come to life and speaking. I am always enchanted and haunted by the woodcut characters.
