Last night, Tarin, the foster mom, brought over Taber, the dachsund/chihuahua cross we're going to adopt. He and Whiskey got along great. I don't know how long they were here -- maybe 30-45 minutes and the dogs played almost the entire time. The puppy was super friendly and even ended up rolling over on his back for Whiskey when they played. Tarin said he never does that with her dogs. Whiskey was really good and shared her toys and tolerated his inquisitiveness when he nosed around her bowls and bed. I think this is going to be a great match. Exhausting, but in a really good way.
He gets his final round of shots tomorrow and then we'll go and sign the paperwork and bring him home! Today I will hit Target to get a few things that will be his very own -- bed, blankie, bowls, a couple of toys and a carrier. I am so excited!
