THANK GOD THERE'S MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS
I think perhaps this is the best song I've heard in a long time. It actually brought chills to me.
More bands need to use what we have left after 9-11 to remind the people in the scene and in society in general what exactly happened to this country on that day... and what we should think about when we vote this year.
But politics aside, I think we need to just remember how strong people stood on that day, and how that is still relavant to all of us years later... we all need to stand that strong all the time and not just in the times of devastating tragedy.
Anyways though, live how you want and most importantly vote for who you feel can do the best job in office. Don't just vote for who your friends or your parents are voting for. And don't be swayed by card stacking democrats or republicans who only give you enough info to prove their point. Think for yourself and do your own research on all candidates.
So yeah, thats my soap box on that.
Life was good yet again today, but I'm not going to talk too much on that cause I don't want to jinx it.
But class was really cool today, but even cooler than class today is the lack of class tomorrow. Gotta love professional development days.
Anyway today was pretty weird altogether. Colin got engaged to a pornstar, the dude I work with had his girlfriend go momentarily comatose at work today, and well I fell three feet into complete strangers' arms today for a class (talk about fucking insane).
But whatelse is going on... not too much really. Just being totally hopelessly in love with Melodie. That girl makes me so happy everyday. And even though my cell is out of minutes and I can't talk to her until I get out of work everyday until the new month starts, she still finds ways to get in touch with me and to let me know that she loves me and is thinking of me.
For real though, how can anyone have a shitty day or life for that matter when you have someone like Melodie in your life pushing you to be totally happy and excited for everything you do. I don't know, if you're miserable and you have someone in your life that you think is doing this for you, then you need to reconsider who you're with and/or your relationship with that person.
So ummmm yeah, the new Jesus Wept cd is killer. Its not as good as the last xDx AD record in my opinion however, it really holds its own and being that its a different band and a some what different sound I think that it kills and I hope that these guys play out more than xDx AD did.
Also this makes me think about how Shockwave needs to play Erie again soon too. I mean what is it with these bands putting out albums and not promoting them by playing shows. That is just weird.
But once again I want to thank everyone who is involved in my daily life, especially my closest friends and my one true love Melodie... without all of you my days would be bland and not worth living.
