Open To All: St. Mungo's Post

The hospital was still buzzing about the latest Burning Man victims who still resided in the critical care unit, unconscious. The majority of their burns were gone, which was thanks to a combination of regrowth potions and a new healing ointment that Neville Longbottom had come up with. Unfortunately, Pansy Parkinson sustained more injuries and internal damage than Daphne Greengrass. The reports claimed that the fire was first set to Parkinson and left to spread towards the other victim. While the potions and ointments helped with most of the burns it was obvious that she'd be left with permanent scarring from the trauma. Some injuries are too great for even magic to heal.

Though, the physical appearance of the victims were of little concern when compared to the internal damage that they had experienced. The smoke had cut off oxygen to the both of them, essentially suffocating them. Until they awoke it was difficult to gauge exactly how much internal stress they had been put through. There could be any number of complications if they awoke too quickly before their bodies had properly healed. It had been decided to keep them unconscious but the time frame was undetermined.

It was nearly impossible not to see what was going on, maybe not in such intense detail but it was all over the papers and even Witch Weekly. Of course the media swarmed all over this - two victims fighting for their lives after the greatest threat they had seen since The War and they were heiresses no less. It was hard enough as it was going a week with out seeing Greengrass and Parkinson's names splattered in the new. This was like a feeding frenzy.

Usually Travis didn't pay any attention to things like this. It was just another sad and depressing thing in this world. Travis was tired of sad and depressing things.

Still, he couldn't help himself from scanning the articles every morning for any news - good news. It was driving himself mad seeing the Greengrass name in there. He needed an update, he needed something-

Monday morning, after over a week, he had enough. Travis left work at his lunch break and picked up two strong coffees before heading into St. Mungo's in search of news and Astoria Greengrass.
