Being an adult was hard. Sure, the perks of it were nice. Travis liked having his own flat and the privacy that came along with it. He liked that he could have stacked boxes of comic books in his office and body could say a word about it. It was nice to have a giant flat screen television in his living room with every game system available taking

"Wait! You have a wild weekend?! What happened?! Tell me everything!" Ginny's excitement was obvious. After all, she might as well live vicariously through Travis. It wasn't as if she was getting up to anything crazy.

"I picked up a girl in a bar," he started, that sheepish looking back on his face. "And I sort of brought her to my cottage in Australia where we both stayed for three days."

Ginny tossed back the remainder of her drink right as their appetizer made it to the table. Travis's forethought in ordering it was a stroke of genius as Ginny could already feel the drink going to her head.
They quickly placed their dinner order, and a second round of drinks, before Ginny turned on him for the details she wanted. "Come on Travis. Spill the beans!"

"Okay, okay. Well, it started Friday went I took a half day. I went to this bar on the other side of town and ran into Astoria Greengrass," he paused. At first he hadn't recognized Astoria but as the day went on it, it clicked. They were in the same year at Hogwarts after all and she was her year's very own Slytherin Princess.
"After a few drinks, I told her about my boat and she didn't seem to believe me. So I had to show her, didn't I?"

She hadn't thought about Astoria Greengrass in ages. Granted she was a Slytherin so it wasn't like they had interacted too much at school. Nor did they run in the same social circles then or after leaving. So Ginny's lack of thought towards her was unsurprising.

"We went out on the boat...You know how you ladies like boats," he playfully winked. "Then we just, clicked. It wasn't serious but it was....fun. It was a lot of fun."

Ginny looked down and noticed that her fresh drink was there. She took a gulp before leveling Travis with a very serious look. "Tell me, did you guys go out on the boat clothes like normal people or did you go out on the boat...?" Ginny let the end of the question hang there for a second before wiggling her eyebrows at him suggestively.
She saw him blush and decided to mess with him farther. "Inquiring minds want to know these things."

"You know you acted this why when I told you I lost my virginity too," he recalled, laughing. That memory felt like a lifetime ago, back early in their fifth year when he had first starting dating Natalie. Ginny wanted the details then too.
"And yes, it was....the latter."

She waved the potato at him before taking a big bite. Being here with Travis was a lot of fun. Also the food was hitting her system so she was started to not notice the effect of the alcohol as much. This was both a good and bad thing. Growing up with 6 brothers meant Ginny could keep up with the boys but thanks to training she had lost her ability to hold her liqueur.
"Did you guys get 'friendly'," Ginny made air quotes around the word with her free hand, "on the boat or did you save it for a more private location?"

He took a long gulp of his drink, realizing he had a little catching up to do with Ginny. As he did so their server came back towards their table, a big smile on her face.
"Are you two ready to order?" she asked sweetly.
"Can I have....the bacon cheeseburger, medium. Extra fries." Travis smiled up at her before they both turned to Ginny.

"This is fun. I haven't been out like this in a long while," Ginny told Travis as she propped her head up in her hand once more. "I'm glad you got me to come out."

Growing up with six brothers had been good for her self confidence, well that true unless Harry was in the same room as her. It was Travis who came to Hogwarts confused and quiet. He owed a lot to her and so did his social life.

He was also one of the few people that made a point to check in on her, besides her brothers, after the whole Harry debacle. Ginny was pretty sure she would never be able to tell Travis how much that truly meant to her.
She pointed at the last potato skin. "Do you want it?"

Travis knocked back the last of his drink just as their server brought around their second glasses. He took it happily, liking that their server was so attentive.
"So is your season starting soon or something? It seems like practices have doubled the last month for you." It was clear Travis only really kept up for Ginny's sake.

"Yeah. We're into the very start of the season so we've kicked things into higher gear." She took a swig of her fresh drink. "We play the Appleby Arrows this weekend. It's sure to be a good game. You should come!"
Ginny had been inviting Travis to games since she joined the Harpies and to date he had come to one. Granted he came to her very first one so that counts for a lot in her book. She knew that one day she would get him out to another one.
"If you ask nicely I'll even give you a second ticket to bring Astoria Greengrass."

But then she added Astoria into the mix and it was a very smart move on Ginny's part.
"Box seats?" he asked, looking hopeful. Travis gave Ginny his best smile and batted his big brown eyes playfully over at her. "After all, I need to impress her."
