I finished my ring, and it's very pretty and not quite what I thought it would be. I'm pretty sure I put the bezel platform on rotated 90 degrees instead of the way I orginally planned to, but I'm not certain. I'm also not certain if I don't like it better this way.
The enamel "stone" is pretty, but not what I was trying to accomplish, which is probably biasing me against it.
The band is gorgeous and I love it- I may make a second ring, of JUST the band, perhaps with matching bracelet or necklace. It also has firescale on it, which for normal human beings is little bits of discoloration from heating that picky people LIKE JEWELERS go "oh, this is nice... it's a shame it has firescale" the way home buyers say "oh, this is nice, it's a shame rats have destroyed half the foundation and all the wiring." If I had another six hours, I'd clean it off. Hmph.
My drawing is not done and not started. I have four hours to do it if I get up at six am, two if I don't. WE WHO ARE ABOUT TO SUFFER SALUTE YOU.
Oh, and I have to load a kiln tomorrow.
