At last!

An appropriate place for my favorite fool-your-friends recipe:

Velveeta Fudge

1 lb Margarine or butter
1 lb Velveeta
1 c Cocoa
4 lb (Yes, you read that right) Powdered sugar
2 c Nuts; chopped
2 tsp Vanilla

Melt margarine and cheese together. Mix in remaining ingredients thoroughly until no tell-tale hint of orange remains. Spread in 9x13 greased pan.* Cool. Cut in squares. Keep in refrigerator.
*I use two pans so the fudge won't be quite as thick.

This makes a buttload of slightly soft fudge - more than six pounds. I usually halve it, except at Christmas time, when I make the whole batch and put it up in tins to take to pot-lucks and holiday open houses.

It tastes like ... fudge. If a little on the salty side. Nobody ever guesses that it's based on Velveeta.
