(no subject)
in exactly two weeks, i will no longer be a teenager. though i haven't felt like a 'teenager' in a very, very long time, the fact that i still technically was one, well, it gave me a bit of a cushion.
i'm excited and, at the same time, completely freaking out. i'm going through the whole "who am i, and what the hell do i want to do with my life" thing, and even though everyone around me is telling me that it's entirely normal to feel that way and i'll be just fine, they don't realize the expectations i've placed on myself, and why it's so frustrating that i'm still floating along, aimlessly for the most part, and i am on no absolute set path.
my birthday party will take place april 28-30.
if you're able to at least stop by at any point in the weekend, i will love you forever. we'll probably have the bar stocked full and a few things to munch on, but if you'd like to bring some liquor/beer along or bake me a cake or something, i'd greatly appreciate it. and if you're feeling really generous, here is my amazon wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/25XRZLQ91W52P
and it's not a party as much as it is a 3 day long get-together, so don't expect a bitchin', bumpin' crazy fuck-fest or anything. if you think you'll be able to make it, please let me know. i hate surprises, so don't just show up without notice plzzz. and i'd prefer it if you didn't bring anyone i don't personally know, but if you can't get around it or really want to introduce someone to the awesomeness that is alexis, please let me know beforehand so i can carefully and quite anally calculate my decision.
i'm on the quest for a summer job. or any job, really. if anyone knows of any openings in the plano area, please let me know. so far, i have a small list of places to apply to, but they are all jobs i'd take only if i were desperate. at the top of that list are camera stoes, book stores, and retro revolution, but if i'm allowed to be choosy, i'd prefer a job that isn't retail.
school has gone from decent to bad to worse. aaaaand i don't really feel like getting into it right now.
life, too, has gone from decent to bad to worse. etc. etc. etc. etc. erwer.e.re.re. oh fucking well.
