Best Christmas gift
I got this year's best Christmas gift yesterday! My Grandma has gotten her health back! In May this year she fell while riding her bike and hurt her back. She was in a lot of pain and could barely walk, but the worst thing was that she suddenly became demented. She forgot names, couldn't find the words when she talked, didn't know how to pay the bills anymore, stopped calling us because she had forgotten how her cell phone worked e.t.c. She also lost her appetite and became very quiet (she usually talks all the time). The last time I saw her was in November, when we celebrated my Mom’s birthday. Grandma had forgotten we would come…
We all tried to get used to the idea of her not getting better, but it was hard. She's always been so healthy. Even though her back slowly got better her head still wasn't what it used to be. Until now. Bam! and she's back. Just like she was before. She talks all the time, interrupts people like she always used to do. Pretty annoying actually, but now it just makes me happy because it means she's back to her old self. She's eating again and remembers how to pay the bills.
My cousin is pregnant and is due any day now. I'm so happy that my Grandma is going to be able to fully enjoy her first great-grandchild.
I don't know how it happened and I don't care. I'm just going to think of it as a Christmas miracle.
