Yeah, I've realized that most of my media consumption revolves around pairing squee. *g*
GUS/SHAWN GUS/SHAWN GUS/SHAWN GUS/SHAWN. *twirls around in crazy Gus/Shawn circles*
Godric/Eric - uuugh, I feel you. ERIC, WE KNOW YOU LOVE YOUR MAKER, OMG, BUT THEN YOUR VOICE HAD TO BREAK AND YOU HAD TO CRRRRY AND THAT'S WHEN I PRETTY MUCH KEELED OVER. I also personally found Godric very compelling as a character; I love spiritual types and I think the actor really nailed that about him.
Lafayette brings me great joy during what are some otherwise really challenging things to watch.
Jessi/Kyle, dude, I'm all about it. I heard they made it canon later on, which I have yet to see, and I'm hoping it doesn't clash with the beautiful Jessi/Kyle in my head too much. Amanda... yeah. She was just so. freaking. boring. I couldn't even bring myself to femmeslash her with anyone. (Jessi/Lori I totally saw during the haircut scene.)
RONON/JOHN. SO PRETTEH. I was bummed they didn't pursue Ronon/Kaylee... I mean, Ronon/Keller angle.
Oh, hey, there's a comm? I should have figured there'd be one, durh. Yeah, pretty much all the Sulu/Kirk I've managed to write is one drabble, and I know I'd have to re-watch the movie to write more, because right now the only two voices in my head seem to be Gus/Shawn. (I KIND OF HAVE THIS EPIC IDEA INVOLVING GUS AND UHURA COMPETING IN A SPELLING BEE, AHAHAHAHA.)
And, yeah, I didn't really get too into most of these fandoms myself, just lurked around the edges and read a bit of fic for some of them. I can sympathize with the brain-eating thing. *skips off merrily to watch some more Psych*
Yeah, Eric/Godric just completely bowled me over. I didn't much care for Eric until then, and BAM! Waterworks. O_O Just, the way Godric was, spiritual-like, as you said, and how Eric just totally gentled in his presence. WOW.
I was totally bummed that SGA didn't go with Ronon/Keller, too. Hooking her up with Rodney made me want to puke. :/ Way too Mary Sue meets Gary Stu for my liking, when pairing her with Ronon would have killed the Mary Sue angle completely.
And there's also EPIC Sulu/Kirk at the ST Big Bang, too, if you haven't already seen it. OMG, it's PERFECT. ^____^
