So I'm
backing up my LJ in a mis-guided attempt to see if I can misuse the archiving features to smoosh to LJ accounts together, and I couldn't resist using the "word count analyzer" function that tells you what words you've used most often in your journal.
I've used the word "actually" 271 times in this journal, you guys. I'm ashamed. I'm banning myself from using this word for at least a day. I know what a synonym is, I do.
(My other favorites: "Jack" has 1,343 uses, "Mohinder" has 232, "Superman" has 235, and "favorite" has 107 because I actually have no vocabulary. See what I did there? God, I just kill myself.
And "fingers" has 303 uses. Yes, I am a little obsessed with hands. Just a little.)
It's a good thing this functionality doesn't work on people's public entries, or I'm pretty sure I'd be doing it to all your journals right now because language patterns fascinate me and all joking aside, why do I use the word "actually" so often? Well, off to do my personal journal. Curious to see how those results will differ.
