Well the trip was successful.
Last Thursday we flew out and home shopped. Found a good deal of potential places with large tracks of land which is exactly what we want to we can farm dogs (inside joke). We spent most of Friday driving around the country side collecting information on the various communities. We came across the battlefield of Antietam during this romp. You can see the monument to it here:

Later that night we went and drove around The Mall and looked at the monuments at night. It was a rather romantic drive. Saturday morning we went back to The Mall and hit several of the museums and finally managed to find someone trustworthy looking to take our picture at the Washington monument. That is the WWII and Lincoln Monument you can see in the background.

We met up with Rob, Mindy, and Ben later that night and ate at Tosca Ristorante. The bill came to just under 500 bucks for us but since most of us were GIS people from different companies we talked about the Pro's and Con's of Rob's software and he charged the meal as a business dinner on his corporate card. Fucking sweet is all i have to say.
Its going to be interesting living around D.C. I have to admit i am rather nervous about moving and living in the area. It will be therapeutic though. There is a good more I would like to say but i just can't figure out how to formulate it in my mind right now. There is a swirl of weird feelings going though my mind right now. Not sure what they mean.
Started packing last night. Finally going to throw away all of crud left over from my relationship with Kathryn. I was thinking about holding on to the various McFarlane toys but they are pretty meaningless to me now. I don't even feel motivated to sell them on ebay. So they are going to get tossed in a dumpster this weekend unless you want them Jason.
