Equilibrium

It is mine again.

I am about to go to sleep and I anticipate it being deep and restful. (K is often astounded how quickly I drop into deep sleep and how quickly I come out of it again... though this means sudden waking is sometimes quite traumatic for me).

Wow, that was random. Well this is me, you get that.

Snoozed supportively through part of Star Wars: A New Hope (1977 version for maharetr) and then read for the rest of it, and finished Robin McKinley's "Sunshine" which I've fallen totally in love with. I now need to read a lot more of her stuff having read two or three of her books now and REALLY liking them. I love new author discoveries. I am coveting the new Jackie Kessler (sp?) book, the new Jacqueline Carey book, anticipating new Patricia Briggs, and Kelly McCullough, and since I've been reading Justine Larbalestier's feed (one of my favourite author blogs ever), I am really looking forward to reading 'How to Ditch Your Fairy', then there's the anticipation of the second Pamela Freeman book, Ilona (Andrews?) has been recommended to me and I must pick her up... Still on my to read pile is the Mythago Cycle by Robert Holdstock which was recommended to me by agoodliedown and am hoping that I fall in love with.

I'm also quite fannish at the moment, reading a lot of online fic in Doctor Who, and have read enough spoilery s4 fics and associated to sink a battleship. Other tv I'm enjoying A LOT at the moment includes: Ugly Betty S2, Boston Legal S3, Secret Diary of a Call Girl S1, Princess Tutu S1, and am about to start rewatching Fushigi Yuugi, I have the first 26 eps after spending a week downloading a very forlorn file, if I didn't have an upload cap I'd seed it lots. I need more Fushigi Yuugi fic in my life. I've also been enjoying watching 'Vampire Knights' which has an awesome theme song - ending one is the one I'm thinking of I believe, and also looking forward to taking a look at 'Death Note' as well, obviously it's an anime phase :) I have a bundle of other stuff that I'm looking forward to trying out that I grabbed from the ever supportive enabler ascetic_hedony.

As you can see... I'm really feeling a lot better, babbly even. I just needed the quiet time, to not have to be doing stuff and getting things done. Needed some cuddles while I wibbled, and people to understand my disappointment at changing my enrolment, and also my relief, and the continued excitement I have about it, really can't wait to start!

My beloved has man-flu at the moment, and of course the world is ending. As usual I find myself with little sympathy as not only does it become 'all about him x eleventy million' but he also doesn't rest or take care of himself very well, and then wonders why it knocks him flat? My cold - same as his, got it after him, am over it before him. Thankfully he's off work tomorrow to rest.

I however have a busy day planned, massage followed by shopping followed by drinks with angriest and lie_xin then dinner with parents and catching up with e_dan whom I hope will bear with some of my silly questions I have about uni. If I don't forget them between now and then, which is likely.

But right now, it's midnight, I'm warm and I'm chirpy, I'm in the least amount of pain I've been in for most of the week, and am pretty much over my cold. I'm also feeling those lovely welcoming tendrils of sleepiness creep up on me, so I'm going to go and listen to them and get some sleep.

Many thanks to you all for the support this week, it truly means a lot.
