I woke up about half an hour ago... just a little more.
I went to bed about 2am.
I so needed the sleep. So I may have sacrificed the morning to it unexpectedly as opposed to being useful and productive.
I still have heaps to do so I still plan to be productive when I get to
black_samvara's. I'm lugging the laptop today, too much that I have to watch over atm. Or do. Or both.
Getting moving this morning though is a bit hard. I feel almost myself again though.
So what did I achieve last week - given how crap it was I wanted to just list what I had achieved.
* Second week of new job
* Training in iProcurement for new job.
* Walk through of potential 2009 swancon venue with commitee members and WASFF chair.
* Productive conversation with Arts WA, Freo Arts Centre, City of Perth and Housing and Works regarding potential venue's for Swancon 2009.
* I didn't overreact or respond in the most personally satisfying way to someone being underhanded and making vague insinutations that I found upsetting.
* I wrote a blog which I've shared with some people to give me the satisfaction of it not being an invisible thing, but it's not something I've posted, and I'm glad now, but still a little bit sad too, but the good bits out of are going into my Ditmar report.
* I replied to an email that had upset me, and wasn't objectionable or rude or mean, even if I was emotive.
* I got the Ditmar Voting form finished, checked and was able to open the voting yesterday night. This in particular is a weight off.
* I reviewed the program items posted by
strangedave and suggested one panel, i am working on another couple.
* I supported a close friend who was also having a crappy and stressful week, actually when I say I supported, I also have to mention that they were providing amazing support to me - it was a simultaneous thing.
* I had breakfast most days.
* I had a couple of social lunches which helped to mediate the sheer volume of work I've been trying to do.
* I organised my bridesmaid outfit for
prk and
amarillion's wedding, and the conversation we had was wonderful to catch up, as well as get us all on the same page regarding outfits, and a general idea of how we're going to approach things.
* Tried Madama Butterfly on for size, and it didn't quite fit, but loved the company and being down in the city for an evening picnic - I can't express how much I love that.
Overall, I'm calling it a win. I made some difficult decisions and also managed to hold off doing or saying things that I would ordinarily be easily recognise as unproductive, but needed help to do so this week (Thank you!).
The weekend promises to be lovely, and there are hints to next week that will also see it easily being better :)
Now, to be productive about organising myself to leave the house :P
Oh, and food.
