The world had come back into sharp focus, all the details she'd taken for granted, the mazes of flesh and bone replayed to her ad nauseum spilling out onto the floor along with the liquid warm from the all consuming sac that had housed her for so long. It had almost been as disorienting as when she had curiously walked into the mechanisms awaiting

The kid's hit him like a bolt of lightening. It was something that had been on the tip of his tongue for weeks now.
He was supposed to be looking for her. He should have been looking for her, but that bit of information had been ripped away from him by this god damned ship. But now that he had it back, he needed to make good on his promise.
At least this time, though, Stacy was a bit more cooperative in helping him locate the girl. So after several minutes of wandering the halls, no, she didn't find cake, but she found Leon.
"...Eve?"

It took her a moment to realize she wasn't alone and that, instead of just another fork in the road, there was an intimidating tall man in front of her calling her name.
In the heat of the moment Eve’s jaw dropped, as she opened her mouth to protest, argue, explain, plead...she wasn't sure which, but it didn't really matter. She closed it almost immediately, too physically and emotionally weak to find the words to explain. Instead she nodded albeit meekly.

"Hey, my name is Leon. I'm a cop. I'm going to get you someplace safe, ok?"

As Leon stepped forward, Eve took her own counter measures away from him, until he kneeled down. His actions didn’t make much sense. Then again, not much did. Wasn’t she meant to get cake? Or was cake a lie? The mere thought of this promised gift was enough to cause her eyes to flash angrily, iridescent even against the harsh surrounding light. Again she could feel that scary carnal impulse rise.
Blue eyes flickered from left to right when Leon’s words finally penetrated. The words didn't seem familiar, but the tone of voice made it clear enough that this Leon, this ‘cop’ wasn’t there to her. She finally looked straight again. Her chin trembled a little.

While the girl did chow down, Leon called Claire to the sensorium, because he needed her help with something.

"Where do you keep finding all these kids?" she asked him quietly.

"You'd be surprised. It's like they're popping out of the woodworks." He took a step away from the table, then looked at Eve. "You keep eating, sweetheart. I'll be right over there."
Not that he didn't want to introduce the two, but he needed a bit of privacy first so he could give Claire the full rundown. He walked with Claire off to the side a little bit and spoke quietly to her.
"This one, Eve... for some reason, one of the AI's decided to separate her from the rest of the crew. I found her wandering through the halls not too long ago. She doesn't appear to be hurt, but I have no idea where she's been or what she's been through or how long she was gone. She hasn't been feeling talkative."

"That's great. This place just gets more and more inviting." She frowned a little, crossing her arms over her chest loosely. "So she'll probably need to be looked after a little more closely than the other kids, and you want me to try to get her to loosen up and tell me if she remembers what's happened, right?" She knew if the AI was abducting kids for shits and giggles that that was a big concern, and she was more or less a specialized social worker. She knew how to get kids who didn't want to talk about bad things that had happened to them to open up. She was just used to that being more of a zombie territory.
