But was he ready for a whining Spaniard with a shattered right arm?

Luis had managed (with Claire's help) to get a crappy splint on his broken arm to hold it over, but when it started to absolutely throb with pain, so badly it felt like he was going to pass out, he knew it was time to stop overseeing things and start going to medical.

"I fell out of a tree once when I was a boy," he commented, laying on one of the beds with his arm extended for examination. "That felt like a gentle spring breeze compared to- aaah... Puta madre! I think I'm dying!"

"I'll be right there, Dr. Sera!" Sam made his way through the room, while he tugged off his bloody gloves. He snatched up a new pair, and swept up to Luis's bedside. "What happened?" He examined the arm with a gentle touch.

"You know. Mutant teenager crushed my arm bare-handedly," Luis muttered. He would be coming up with some more exciting versions of the story to lie about later on, but he was in too much pain to lie very well right now. "It's... it's bad, I already know, but- aa-AAAH joder! SHIT!"

Even a gentle touch seemed agony. "Oh Christ, I left it alone for too long."

"Yes you did," he told him. He dashed in a flash back to his drugs and back again, holding a needle all ready to go. "Just a few minutes and you won't feel a thing." He started prepping an area on the same arm, high above the wounds.

Yzak was happy he didn't have to stay in the city for that long. He had help when he arrived, but it was only something to hold him over until he reached medbay. His side still stung something awful from the tyrant's claws getting in a lucky shot (it was totally a lucky shot to Yzak), and his arm not only got that same treatment, but there was now a deep pain running through it from a swing of its fist. So he made sure not to move it as much as he could, though that was pretty difficult to do when he was moving. At least he was sure it wasn't broken at the very least.

Still, that hardly mattered now when the pain was still fresh. "Ahh, shit," he hissed, pausing to wait for the jolt of pain to pass.

Sam dashed over to Yzak as he made his way in. "Right over here there's an empty bed," he told him, getting in beside him to be a (in)human crutch.

Taking the offer and leaning against Sam slightly, Yzak looked around the medbay-- hopefully there weren't too many casualties. And hopefully more there were none who were in worse shape than him.

"Are you guys here really busy right now?"

"A bit," he answered, getting him to a bed. "Nothing I can't handle, though," he replied with an enthusiastic smile. "Tell me what happened," he said, before darting for bandages and stitching supplies and returning in a second.

Katara had made it to the med bay as soon as she could. She looked a little different now: she had on a long white cloak, blue trim with a water tribe emblem on the front. She thought she was simply going to gt to use her magical artifact once she called the Pactio card, but it looked like she'd gotten an upgrade. It was just as well: it looked like there was a lot of people injured.

She made a beeline straight for Sam, and was glad she was already acquainted not only with him but with med bay in general. "What can I do?"

"Katara!" Sam said, glad to see her. "You're amazing. Could you check on the bandages for those that I've already seen to to make sure they're not still bleeding?" He didn't look up from the stitches he was working on for more than the second it took to call her name. While he was stitching much more quickly than was average, he needed to stay focused to keep the pace up without making an error. "According to Dr. Sera, anyone that comes in with burns needs to go into Quarantine immediately," he added to her. "Got it?"

"On it!" She said. She may have forgotten the name of the former head of Medical, but she had learned to be prompt in these kinds of situations. She walked quickly over to the patients that were still bleeding, took their hands and took a moment to let her water wash over them before re wrapping them up again. This took only a matter of minutes, which was good, as there had been more people here than she had expected.

"Right, I'll make sure of it," she said, watching for any newcomers with burns.

Devlin was in a much better state now than he'd been earlier, but he was still pale from the pain. His left shoulder had been dislocated, which Phillip had popped back into place, but it definitely needed to be stabilized. There were also finger-shaped bruises on his left forearm, but he didn't seem to notice them nearly as much as the shoulder.

"I need help," he moaned. "My shoulder."

Katara was definitely sure that she'd seen the boy before: wasn't he the one that had gotten into trouble with Negi-kun over that thing with the Riders, or whatever? In any case, she saw he was definitely still in pain. She walked over to him quickly, and started to set the shoulder: she could see he was still nursing it.

"Hold still," she warned, then brought her hand to his arm, a moment later water passing over him. With her normal healing abilities, this would take a few days, but with Negi's artifact, it would take maybe two at most.

"How do you feel?" She asked.

Devlin recognized Katara dimly through the haze of pain, and he flinched when she put her hand near him, afraid she was going to touch his shoulder. He was still tense when the water flowed over it, but he soon relaxed, and the color started to return to his face.

"Better," he said, and he was able to gently move his shoulder without too much pain. "Thanks."

"It's all right," she said, smiling. "Hey, I remember you: aren't you the boy that Hikari likes, the one that did that stupid thing with Negi? You really shouldn't be reckless like that: you could say you're lucky you're not in Negi's shoes right now. He's getting it from Asuna and his mom."

She inspected his arm, then exhaled, went into her pocket and put a card to her head.

"Abeat," she said, and she was Katara again, happily refreshed from injuries she sustained earlier.
