TARDIS Spring Cleaning (after Darksoul possession/Jamie-talk)

Jan 29, 2011 05:04

Several days after being possessed and the Doctor’s convinced he needs to do some spring cleaning. Or at least some kind of cleaning. Probably should have done it awhile ago, come to think of it, but things kept coming up. Things do that, so he doesn’t blame them. So, spring cleaning. Needs doing, established that, good as a distraction except…. ( Read more... )

"It's...a box?" Sandy responded looking the Tardis up and down and then back to him. "Like a phonebooth? We still have a few in my neighborhood but people only use them to sleep in." Apparently she had missed the part about how long her time would be invested...or even how she had arrived here with him.

Frankly she couldn't remember waking up this morning...weird.

But well she was here and there was no denying it. It was plain as the nose on the Doctor's face.

Sandy will be helping him scrub the TARDIS walls/floor makeherblue January 29 2011, 14:31:50 UTC
The Doctor stood with his hands on his hips, appraising the TARDIS. Sandy here had finally stopped trying so very very hard to be a turtle since he last saw her, but apparently she was hard to impress. The Doctor looked down at her with a frown.

"It's not just any phone booth." The Doctor started to fish around in his pockets for the TARDIS key before remembering. Still missing in action. Not only did he need to track down a spirity demon thing, but he also had to find that key. "It's better. Easily. Easier than easily. Right, so -- "

The Doctor snapped his fingers, the TARDIS doors opening to give Sandy a glimpse of her console room. The TARDIS groaned -- it almost sounded annoyed to him -- but obliged with the doors, which was promising. The Doctor let Sandy go in first, hovering a few feet away. It was almost a habit at this point, watching for a reaction.

Sandy walked in, and was stunned into catatonia for a moment. It was like the air was stolen out of her lungs at the sheer baffling difference then what she was expecting.

Yes she lived on a space ship made of meat that was also psychic. Yes there were two versions of her worlds mightiest and deadest spider-themed hero right down the hall from where she slept... but this was still pretty wild.

"Not just any phone booth." She repeated after the Doctor talking a few more cautious steps in. "What...is all this?"

Skeptical kid or not, the Doctor was pleased to see she was appropriately surprised and in typical human awe. Never got old. It made his smile a tiny bit brighter ( ... )

After the initial shock and confusion of how the TARDIS could be, it began to settle on Sandy what she'd been recruited for.

"Place this big you oughta have a butler or a maid. Or some kinda cleaning robots from the stars." Sandy remarked moving towards the bucket and attempting to pick it up.

The Doctor moved to help her with the bucket. It was an absent motion, the Doctor moving the bucket close to a scorched panel. "They'd just get lost, and I'd have to find them every time they did that. It's easier with just me."

As for cleaning robots...could be interesting but the idea of one of them poking around in the TARDIS? Not sure about it. The Doctor started rolling up his sleeves, about to dive into the scrubbing with Sandy.

"By the way. How have you been settling on Stacy?" the Doctor began scrubbing at the wall. Sandy didn't look so much like a Ms Turtle to him now.

Sandy was on her knees working at the pieces of wall that were low to the ground, almost to the floor. It was easier for someone so small to reach these places.

"Oh um...fine I guess. I have a friend now." She didn't realized her cheeks grew a little pinker and her lips curved into a smile, her posture itself relaxed about a hair when she said his name. "Hana. He popped out of the snot pods the same day I did. He's really cool."
