The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

"From what experience and verification told me, we are in a war, an inter-reality war that the Ohm has spurned for some reason or another. The opposing force the Dialgig is set on defending the rest of the known space, but they need our help. As such, they have been rescuing people and setting them on ships, and from what command has received, we're not the first."

Matt clasped his hand behind his back and in no uncertain terms did he look serious. "We're at war, but it's a war that we need to work together to overcome. If you're willing to devote your time and effort to help defend everyone."

Querl shrank back from his touch. Under normal circumstances it was unwelcome and it was even more unwelcome now. "Your explanation is woefully inadequate. What worlds have they destroyed? Where are the other members of the Legion? I want to speak to the Daligig. What technology do they and the Daligig possess?" Ah, but of course he would not know. It was foolish to ask.

"Most of the information on the Ohm, what we have has been uploaded to Command. They would have a better source of resources than I would," said Matt. "As for getting in contact with the Dialgig, I would speak to Captain Leon Kennedy. I'm just here to soften the blow a little."

"As for the Legion, I have heard that there are numerous members amidst the crew. The only one I can think of offhand is a Mrs. Nura Nal Dox; a very good friend of one of my roommates."

He was about to bark out a demand to see Captain Kennedy at once and for this fool to stop wasting his time when he said Nura's name.

"Nura." For the first time he looked truly stunned. Nura was here? Nura Nal Dox? "Dream Girl? That's- that's impossible."

"No joke." He chuckled at that. "Nura has gathered quite the little family on board. She's a rather fun person to be around at least. You know her personally?"

It was impossible! Unless-

"What is the date? When you said worlds were destroyed did you mean universes?" Those were two of the more reasonable options.

"It is..." And Matt read off a date and time on his Omnicom. "It's just after what would be considered the new year, the first day. However time-space is all wibbly wobbly so there really isn't any bearing on when or when you came from."

Then he smiled. "Of course!" His first attempt may have partially failed, but clearly he would succeed at some time in the future. And then... marry?

No, no. This made very little sense. This was entirely too good to be true. Who gave a damn about the universe. Was this all some elaborate dream? If so, then was his last dream just that- his own deluded imaginings?

"Do you know where Nura is?" He asked. "And Captain Kennedy." He needed more information and Matt clearly wasn't the one who could provide it.

"Nura should be headed here, since everyone gets the summons. You could hail her on the Omnicoms that we've provided," said Matt, gesturing to the flat thing he held. "As for Captain Kennedy, I think he's somewhere. He might still be up in Command."
