The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Off to the side, willingly trying to keep her back to the wall and herself out of the crowd was a scrawny messy haired little girl who looked underfed...and pretty unhappy with things as they were progressing. She wasn't the only one by a long shot.

She just...needed some space. That way when things inevitably started going wrong she could run. Let all these grown ups deal with the OHM or whatever. She wasn't anybodies hero. She was just a little kid who was good at running away and she knew it.

Between the mission and the podpop, Peter hadn't had enough time to run back to Wyvern Castle to change out of his costume. Thus the teenage hero was leaning up against the wall in full uniform, mask hanging out the back of his pants.

Sandy almost overlooked him at first, something hard to do considering the bright colors of his costume.

But the colors were unmistakable. The uniform was burned into her memory for the rest of her life after the brutal scene she had witnessed in what to her was hours ago.

She didn't know when she had moved closer but she had and that just made it more clear. It was the outfit, but it was on a kid. He couldn't have been much older then her.

She heard her mouth say the words before her brain could stop it "Spider-man?"

Sandy just blinked slowly and blurted out the next thing on her mind without even considering what it was "How OLD are you?"

Yeah that's smooth. You're still like half his age.

At least he had been conditioned to the idea of an older version of himself thanks to the other Spidey.

"...I'm sixteen. If you're looking for a Spider-Man in his twenties, he should be somewhere around here."

Sandy didn't even bat an eyelash. Maybe the insanity of this situation was finally settling in on her.

"Um...no. Mine's like...really really old." She muttered, "And he might be dead now...I dunno. Guy with the furry vest was winning when I ran off."

It was now beginning to dawn on Sandy that she was not being terribly clear with...anyone she had met so far. She really should have a sit and organize her thoughts.

"Oh um...Sandy" She caught herself before saying the last name. Her father had been rather infamous before and even after he was put away for good by the police. So much so his Mother had taken his fake last name instead of the real one when they married.

Even Sandy could put two and two together and figure out it might not be a great idea to broadcast her relationship with the arch criminal. Who knows what kind of rules this place had.

"Better question...what is all this?" She looked around to indicate she meant...well the plot.

"That both helps me and really, really doesn't. No offense meant." Thhough it was likely Peter wouldn't really give a crap, other than that brief mind-breaking moment where he tried to figure out how Sandman had a kid in the first place, being made entirely of sand.

"This is Stacy. She's a spaceship that travels through dimensions, and she's also the reason we're still alive. These bug-like aliens called the Ohm have been going going around destroying universes. Everyone on this ship, including the people still in the pods, are from one of the universes that the Ohm destroyed. Our worlds are gone."

Sandy stood very still as she let that news wash over her like a wave feeling her stomach tense up and then fall into her feet.

"Like...gone gone? Like...forever?" She asked quietly.

Well...it's not like she had anyone to come home to. "Great." She muttered.

Sandy folded her arms and looked away purposefully, her voice cold and distant, "Big deal. The monsters were about to destroy New York anyway. Would reversing it bring back those guys too? The big black things with huge teeth and tongues?"

She's checking the new meat of course: she was in that position a few months ago, so why wouldn't she be here? Anyway, who knows, she might meet Batman or someone like that here, good to keep an eye out. Hence, she was in her outfit.

She didn't expect to catch some little wispy girl trying to make herself look smaller. Naturally, she was a curious, so she swooped down, looking at the girl.

"Hey," she said. "Feeling a little out of it, huh?"
