YAY for BoN! Last weekend in Vermont was gorgeous, relaxing, lots of fun, and a great time for catching up and hanging out with friends. Thanks everyone. For friends who couldn’t make it, we missed you. So, now we’re continuing our summer fun in the North Country (my old home). We have rented a cottage on the St. Lawrence River for the season (June -October). The camp is about 3 miles down river from my parents’ home, and one cottage away from my brother’s new camp. Talk about community meals. We’ve been taking turns eating between the two cottages, as well as sharing the prep of different dishes for dinner every night. There’s anywhere from 6 to 11 people, and one large dog, on any given night. Very fun, but boy it’s all about eating with these people! I love being on the river, and I love seeing the girls enjoying it! They have been swimming, floating on noodles, relaxing and wrestling on the SeaDoo raft, jet-skiing, tubing, catching minnows with an old fashioned minnow net, and tomorrow fishing! At the moment, they have 13 friends over and are having a bonfire down by the river! Lots of mosquitoes, but the roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, and smores totally outweigh the bug factor. It’s great to listen to a group of teenagers talking, laughing and having good clean fun. Maybe I will get back into LJ, as I have all kinds of time on my hands!
