More time with fam and self (b/c of said new job).
Hey, I am writing here, right?
There are so many aspects to the time thing. I am not "on call", I don't have to take any work home and I leave at 5pm on the dot every day. If I don't, I have people asking me what I am still doing there and told to go home. On my hour long lunch, I am not checking reports, answering work emails, running to get product or taking the deposit. I am actually eating, reading my latest magazine and browsing the Internet. It's crazy.
I only work 4 blocks from Chris so we can meet for lunch and carpool (if the kids will stop meandering). I even get more time with my husband, imagine that!
As for time outside of work, it's so different to be home at the same time every day. I am still not used to having to get everything done in the evenings or weekends. That part of Sbux was better. I could do my errands on a day where I had to go in later, but those were the days I didn't see my family. When the kids were sick, I could arrange to switch shifts, but at Xerox, I just miss a day of work (which happened my second week there-YIKES). At least it is (or will become) a routine, which was never going to happen before.
