It was my first time to Universal: Islands of Adventure and my first time going to a theme park and nothing went wrong. I went with my two brothers Binh and Nhan, and with Hazel and Reggie. Then, we gained another member Julian. Then along the night, we gained two more members (Jon and Tyler), lose them, and gained another two, and lose them. I definitely did see a lot of people that I have not seen in a long time. At first, I thought… a group of 12,000 college students will only bring trouble but it seems like everyone had a great time. Some of those rides were crazy!!! I don’t know how I made it through Dr. Doom’s and the Hulk, those were so scary for me, but afterward, I feel that I have accomplished something for coming. I’m so glad the Hulk wasn’t my first ride, or else I would’ve gone back to the car. I’m such a scardie cat…I just thought, Hazel is with me, and she’s a girl, and she can do it…and so will I. Wow, I’m proud of myself for surviving...hehehe...The only main ride we didn’t go to was the Dueling Dragons…we attempted twice, but the waiting line was very long-105 minutes. The Dr. Seuss’s rides were very nice and calming, which suites me. The worst part of the night was leaving. It was so sad to go home. The walk back to the car was awful, we were all too tired, the escalators were turned off, it was such a long walk. Unfortunately for Hazel and Reggie…awww…they only got like an hour rest, then headed on campus to help out with the relay for life event.
UCF better sponsor an event like this again next year. It was well worth it. And it’s so nice to go have fun and actually know the people there.
