More Movies I've Watched

Jul 30, 2009 12:20

The one good thing about being unemployed is I have the time to watch a ton of movies. I'd also like to say this - being unemployed during a heat wave with no air conditioning? SUCKS THE BIG ONE!! For me, it's not so much the heat as much as it reduces computer time because I have to keep powering down so the damn thing doesn't overheat!!

Recent Movies I've Watched - Eagle Eye, My Bloody Valentine, 12 Rounds, Were the World Mine, Drona, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and Attack Girls Swim Team vs. The Undead.. Whew!! )

I don't know whether it could be described as worse or better because, until that moment, there wasn't a single mention or sight of a laser in this movie. It just kinda.. appears.

I do enjoy your movie reviews. I think we should get around to making your porn company, stat!

I always hate how rape fantasies ruin an otherwise good-fun-for-all movie. Why is that attractive to so many porn watching fellows? I mean really. It just makes me want to run away to the commune.

I am pretty excited to hear such a good review of My Bloody Valentine. It's the one with Jensen Ackles, yes? He's kinda my TV boyfriend. I don't care what all of those straight girls say--he's totally mine. So anyway I have been meaning to see it for a good horror movie night. Sounds like fun times!

Seriously, I was honestly surprised at how good it was especially since it's a remake (see: Texas Chainsaw Massacre). And yes, this is the one with Jensen Ackles. Friday the 13th is the one with Jared Padalecki which is in my 'too watch' queue.

Lol, you have no idea how seriously I've been thinking about this lately! Of course, my current idea is gay cos-play porn that caters a bit more to the female slash crowd. Seriously, why *isn't* there a gay porn flick that rips off the new Star Trek movie/Stargate: Atlantis/Firefly, etc.?

I always hate how rape fantasies ruin an otherwise good-fun-for-all movie.Ugh! For reals. I think it's worse in horror books especially with small independent companies willing to sign on crappy authors. Because, as we all know, women don't read horror! It's gotten so bad (or I've noticed it more) I've been thinking of doing a listing of books/movies that have scenes of ( ... )

I remember seeing the preview for the Street Fighter movie and thinking "Really? Street Fighter? Who even remembers Street Fighter?"

Well, once again, thank you for taking one for the team and watching these lovely B-movies for us. I think if you really did put together a master list of crappy movies/books featuring sexual assault to avoid... man, we would all owe you forever.

This Were The World Mine sounds intriguing. I do love musicals..

Of the 8 movies I watched above, I'd recommend both Were the World Mine and My Bloody Valentine. And when are us lesbians going to get our version of Hedwig?

"Really? Street Fighter? Who even remembers Street Fighter?"

Lol, yeah, and after spending $50 million on a movie that only made $12 million *worldwide*, I'm pretty certain it's going to be a *very* long time before Capcom finances another movie based on one of their video games! Hell, if they were gonna burn money, they could have hired Uwe Boll (the King of movies based on obscure video games) and saved themselves like $40 million!!

I've been seriously thinking about this and then I think 'aw man, I'm gonna have to watch/read even *more* crap!'. Or, worse, where should I begin? Like, do I limit it to media that's been released after 2000 just for the sake of my sanity?
