I guess its been about a week since I've updated....
Thursday night, my debut at Booty, was good. My two sets went over well and I would love to do it again, although I'm glad I don't DJ there every week. It also felt not as "crazy" as it usually feels there to me, but that might have a lot to do with the fact that I didn't get as drunk as I usually do on thursday nights.
Tyler left for L.A. for about a week on saturday and before he left we got into a fight. He's such a terrible communicator and if I try to bring up something that I want to talk about or something that's been bothering me, he gets all defensive right away and its to the point where I can't talk to him at all. Besides that, there are other reasons why I don't think he's being a very good friend to me. I will be extremely surprised if he thinks to even call me on Wednesday for my birthday.
Saturday night Nickolaus and I got trashed before, during and after going to a print show that the uber-sexy David Eckard from PNCA had at his gallery. damn, that man is fine. It was fun hanging out with Nickolaus, we biked around and had random little adventures. To make a long story short, we ended up sleeping together and surprisingly its (so far) a lot less weird that I would have thought. I just wonder how its going to play out when he tells his boyfriend. Anyway, its good cause I don't have any expectations from this, although, I'm not terribly surprised that it happened. I don't know if that makes sense.
This is my insane 80 hour work week, the bulk of the hours being Thursday, Friday and Saturday (15 hour days, each). It will be a lovely paycheck come the 5th of January and I think I'm going to go to S.F. at the end of January with Nickolaus to see the Scissor Sisters. I need to start planning my outfit now.
My birthday is wednesday, which I feel kind of blaise about. My birthday doesn't really excite me, not nearly as much as other people's birthdays. I do love that my birthday is the day after Winter Solstice and the day after the shortest day of the year. Renewal and reflection will have to wait til after this weekend though. I do think that I'm going to have whoever wants to meet me at the 820 Bar for happy hour on Wednesday at 4pm. It will be nice, mellow and over early. perfect.
