It has been an insane couple of weeks. Between cold and flu season taking my family down for a week, and all the deadlines I've had it feels like I've done nothing but work, and work hard! It has all been worth it though. I have 5 beautiful miniatures completed, I made 13 angel/Faerie ornaments that are being sold at the gallery - and I have $16 in the bank. It doesn't even cover the price of the show - but that wasn't the point of the show this time. The Miniature show was fantastic! We had 300-400 people come through the gallery to look, purchase, and get to know the Art guild here and it's artists. The cookies, hot cider, hot chocolate, and munchies flew off of the tables at an incredible rate. The German "Gluvine" *not sure how it's spelled* was a hit, as was the alcoholic honey cider. Almost everyone sold something, some people sold several somethings. Overall I rank it as a raving success. The economy is such that we would like more sales - but understand if people are tightening their purse strings to keep their families afloat. Were all hoping the economy takes a turn for the better - times are scary right now.
On the upside - I'm going to be contacting a publishing company to see if they enjoy my artwork enough to have me as one of their artists - I'm excited!! Life is a grand adventure - I seek the magic in ordinary things - and if I don't find any - I make some with my art!
Have a wonderful creative day!!
